Brad's Story

Brad Kahlefeldt is a two time Olympian. In 2008, Kahlefeldt made his Olympic debut and finished 11th at the Beijing Games.
Kahlefeldt’s consistent form in the lead up to the London Olympics saw him pre-nominated for the 2012 Games. In London, he came out of the water in 33rd position and held his place throughout the bike and run legs to eventually finish in 32nd position, 3:58 minutes behind the gold medallist Alastair Brownlee of the United Kingdom. Brownlee’s brother Johnathan finished with bronze and Spain’s Javier Gomez claimed the silver medal.

Kahlefeldt  suffered a number of set backs early on in his career, however his determination to carry on in the sport he loved resulted in career highlights such as U23 World Champion, a bronze medal at the 2005 World Championships in Gamorgori, Japan and a world number 1 ranking.  In 2006, Kahlefeldt won 10 major races including a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and four World Cup victories.
