Twinning Schools

Just like the Twinning Schools program organised for the Sydney 2000 Games, the Beijing Organising Committee has established the ‘Heart to Heart’ program.

A student from Madang Avenue Primary draws a new 2008 Beijing flag.

Students from Madang Avenue Primary dress as a Chinese Dragon.

This program endeavours to enhance exchange between students of Beijing-based elementary and secondary schools with youngsters from around the world, realising the goal “One World One Dream,” and jointly pursuing the Olympic Values of Excellence, Friendship and Respect.

Schools are invited to participate in a communication exchange that encourages interaction and learning about each others cultural and social backgrounds.

Many schools across Australia are already involved in a cross-cultural learning exchange with schools in China. Your school is invited to publish the details of its cross-cultural exchange below. Simply download and fill in the form.

The Heart to Heart program supports the National Statement for Engaging Young Australians with Asia in Australian Schools.
