Australia and Olympic Table Tennis
Australia has been represented by 24 athletes across every Games since Seoul 1988 but we are yet to win a medal in Olympic competition. Russell Lavale has represented at a record three Games.
Olympic History
Table tennis became an Olympic sport in Seoul in 1988, without ever being a demonstration sport. Since 1988, China has won 16 of the 20 gold medals awarded, including all five in both the women’s singles and the men’s doubles.
