BEIJING 2008 - A WA PERSPECTIVE

In 2008 a total of 49 West Australian athletes have transformed their Olympic Dream into reality. They are part of the 433 strong Australian athletes and 260 officials that form the second largest ever Australian Olympic Team to leave our shores (behind Athens in 2004). [more]




LIDDELOW DRAFTED INTO HOCKEYROOS SQUAD

Western Australia's Olympic contingent has swelled to 49 membersafter women's hockey reserve Shelley Liddelow was drafted into the Hockeyroos squad following the hamstring injury to Fiona Johnson, suffered in Australia's 2-2 warm up draw with World number 2, Argentina. [more]

WAOC'S OLYMPIC HOME

From August 8–25, the Four Seasons Roasting Duck Restaurant in Northbridge will be transformed into the “Olympic Family Home in WA”. The Restaurant will be decorated with Olympic memorabilia as well as 4 large screens showing all of the Games action. 

Four Seasons Roasting Duck is centrally located at 375 Williams Street, Northbridge (within the William Street Shopping Complex).  The Restaurant offers a range of set menu and a la carte meal options to suit every hip pocket and is BYO. Its signature dish the Peking Duck is renowned through out Perth.
