Swimming great Ian Thorpe can be a success if he decides to come back for the 2012 London Olympics, according to two-time Olympic champion Kieren Perkins.
Reports on Sunday suggested Thorpe was contemplating coming out of retirement to return to competition in the pool in time for next year's Games.
