Jack Lunn joined his high school's running team in 2019 and was encouraged by his St Kevin's College coach in Toorak to compete outside of school. So he joined a club, started consistent training and began his athletics career in 2020.
His career highlight to date has been running in a final at the 2023 World University Games in Chengdu, China. The Melbourne-based athlete's sporting idol is Wayde Van Niekerk, for breaking a world record in the 400m Olympic final from an outside lane.
