Alannah, who is from Darwin and went to O'Loughlin Catholic College, moved to Melbourne on her own to further develop her judo training.
Her sporting idol is fellow junior Australian women’s judoka Maria Swan, who she credits for the never ending courage Maria has to pursue her dreams.
Last year Alannah was nominated for the Northern Territory’s sportsperson of the year award and their junior sportsperson of the year award, highlighted by winning the 2022 Junior Australian Championships in the -70kg category. In July 2023 she won the U21 Asian Cup in Macau, China in the -78kg division.
