ABOUT SAYA

Saya’s parents (Peter and Cathy) have owned and run the Judo International club in Perth since 2004 and Saya was brought up in the sport there and loved it ever since.

Competing in the women’s -70kg category, she credits her bronze medal at the 2023 Junior European Cup in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as her career highlight. Saya’s top results also include winning the 2023 U21 Asian Cup in Macau, China and the 2023 U21 Australian Championships on the Gold Coast.

The Australian Olympic Committee acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this nation.
