Evie Saunders claimed silver in the ILCA 6 class at the 2022 Youth Sailing World Championships in The Hague, The Netherlands.
Then at the 2023 national championships in January Evie competed in the ILCA 6 and finished first in the U19s, first in the U21s and ninth in the open age group out of 83 competitors. Her senior Sailing World Championships debut also came in The Hague, The Netherlands in July 2023 as a 17-year-old. Evie finished 59th in the ILCA 6 silver fleet.
She started sailing when she was eight years old at the Manly Yacht Club and her dream is to compete at the Olympics.
