Jarrod started Sailing when he was a nine-year-old after he saw little dinghies in a harbour while participating in a fun run. Beginning at the Mackay Yacht Club as a junior, when he transitioned from junior sailing to youth sailing he also switched from a dinghy to a board. First starting on a Techno 293 windsurfer, he's now progressed up to using the foiling IQ Foil windsurfer as his senior board.
The Brisbane boy's sporting hero is Harry Garside, because of how passionate the boxer is about being the best he can be and for pushing himself to the limit as an athlete and human being.
