Kiana started her sporting career in gymnastics from the ages of 6-14, earning medals at a national level before she was forced into retirement due to injury.
Whilst processing the loss of her Olympic gymnastics dream, Kiana decided to shift her mindset and subsequently discovered weightlifting in 2013. Kiana has since gone on to represent Australia at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games as well as the Pacific Games, Commonwealth Games and numerous world championships.
She was the lightest female in the Oceania region to lift more than 100kg in the snatch, setting an Oceania record.
