Dakota started skiing in 2013, after a family trip to Lake Mountain. She went on to compete in the interschools competition where she discovered all the different snow sport disciplines. Joining the Mount Buller Race Club in 2014, Dakota quickly realised her talent for ski racing and decided to pursue the sport.
Dakota loves the feeling of achieving and continually strives for a personal best performance every time she races. In 2023 she placed first in division one alpine GS at interschools nationals and in 2022 placed fifth in slalom at the Australian National Junior Championships.
