Gwendolyn first discovered ice hockey while living on the Gold Coast but unfortunately was too young to join the local team. After relocating to Nuku’alofa Tonga where she was unable to access an ice rink, her family moved to Darwin NT where she was able to visit a local ice skating rink and get on the ice.
However, it wasn’t until she moved to Sydney that she was finally able to start playing the game she had grown to love, joining the Canterbury Ice Hockey Club. Gwendolyn enjoys the speed component of ice hockey, finding it fun and exciting and considers the national camps she has had the opportunity to attend the highlight of her career so far.
