MOGULS: Claudia Gueli made her international debut in 2014 at the age of 17. Three years later the moguls skier from Mt Buller made her World Cup debut in January 2017, placing 27th in her first race at Lake Placid, USA.
After a breakthrough 2017 season where she contested 10 World Cup events in two months, the 19-year-old made her first World Cup final at Thaiwoo Park, China in late February, finishing 13th overall. She also placed 11th in the dual moguls event in Thaiwoo.
1. I joined the NSWIS skiing team when I was 15 in 2012. I skied all my life at my home mountain at Mt Buller and went up to Perisher to train for a week with the team for the first time - It was quite intimidating but an awesome experience.
2. I live off a vegan diet and lifestyle, and have been for almost 2 years now.
3. I have the weirdest dog in the world, a Russian wolfhound called Raffles. He's taller than me when he stands on his hind legs and can knock me over with his paw.
4. I get on my yoga mat as much as possible, and have been practicing handstands everyday for a year now.
5. I am 2cm taller than Simone Biles (AKA 1.47m)!
6. In the 2016/17 international season, I competed in the World Cup circuit, which included competitions in America, Canada and South Korea, China and Japan
7. If I could do any other sport it would be surfing.
