CANOE/KAYAK - SPRINT:  Kayak Sprint Olympian, Surf Ski World Champion, and professional firefighter, Alyssa ‘Aly’ Bull certainly leads an exciting, unpredictable and busy life.

At the age of 20, Bull made her Olympic debut at Rio 2016, where she placed 8th in the Women’s K2 500m alongside her partner Alyce Burnett.

Last year, while pursuing her kayak commitments, the former Surf Lifesaving and Ironman athlete managed to win the World Surf Ski title at the 2018 Lifesaving World Championships in Glenelg, Adelaide.

The 23-year-old, who is also a full-time fire fighter in Brisbane, competed in the 2019 Canoe Sprint Grand Prix 2 in Sydney over the weekend, coming away with K2 500 gold, K4 500 gold and K1 500 silver.

In this days leading into the competition, Bull took us behind the scenes of her extremely busy life via her Olympic Takeover on the Aus Olympic Team Instagram story.

From hitting the water with her teammates at 6am, to cooking up a barbecued lamb feast for her housemates, before she started night shift at the fire station in Brisbane, Aly Bull stays positive and laughing through it all!
