Emanuel Oppliger has posted another top 20 result in parallel giant slalom, finishing in 20th place in Kronplatz, Italy.

Oppliger was in sixteenth place after the first qualification run, but slipped back to 20th place in the second run, missing a place in the 16-man finals rounds.

Swiss riders took the top four places, Philipp Schoch taking the gold ahead of brother Simon.

In the women's event, Jo Shaw also missed the finals, finishing in 35th place, while Switzerland picked up another gold through Daniela Meuli.

Oppliger and Shaw have both met the AOC qualification criteria for selection to the Torino 2006 Games.
