The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) has signed a four-year official sponsorship agreement with exceptional performance consultancy rogenSi.
Under the agreement rogenSi will provide training, leadership and communication services to the AOC and the Australian Olympic Team, covering the London 2012 Games, the Sochi Winter Olympic Games in 2014, the Rio Olympic Games in 2016 and the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in 2013.
It is not the first time that rogenSi and the AOC have worked together. Then known as Rogen, the consultancy sponsored the AOC and the Australian Olympic Team in the years leading up to the Sydney 2000 Olympics. During that time it provided coaching in communication skills to more than 200 Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
“We’re delighted to have rogenSi provide these services to the AOC and the Olympic athletes,” said AOC President John Coates. “Not only does it ensure that the AOC management receives the best coaching of its type available, but it arms our athletes with skills that will help them both during and after their Olympic careers.”
rogenSi director Dr Clark Perry, former Australian Olympic Team Psychologist, said the sponsorship was “most appropriate”.
“Nothing personifies exceptional performance like the Olympic Movement, so it makes immense sense that one of the AOC and Olympic Team’s sponsors should be a consultancy that creates exceptional performance in business,” he said. “We are honoured and excited to be a part of this wonderful team”.
