In again what was a strong performance from the mound and at bat, the Aussie Spirit defeated Washington Blast 9-0.
Australian pitcher and co-captain, Tanya Harding gave the opponents four safe hits, but the visitors were unable to convert with Harding too strong on the mound with eight strike outs.
The Australian bats were again instrumental with Sandra Allen getting a run on the board early in the piece and then a five run inning at the top of the fifth.
Amanda Doman scored a two-run home run at the top of the fifth, allowing team mate Natalie Ward home, ending the game in the fifth inning with the run-ahead rule.
