Races were held in biathlon-perfect conditions with packed snow, sunny skies, and the temperature was at -2 degrees Celsius.
Alex Almoukov, Australian Biathlon's sole World Cup biathlete who has already posted qualifying times for Sochi 2014 in several races, continued to prove his position as Australia's best performing athlete this 2013/14 IBU Season.
In the men’s 10km Sprint, Almoukov finished 30th, 6.4% behind after shooting clean. Dyllan Harmer was also within the 20% Sochi Q frame in 104th position, 19.7% behind. Daniel Walker was 121st from 125 finishers, 31.3% behind.
In the women’s 7.5km Sprint, Lucy Glanville had a sensational day on the range, missing only one of ten targets. She finished 67th from 89 starters, 16.9% behind.
