Day One of Olympic Sailing is about to get underway from the Marseille Marina as the sailors prepare to race on the Mediterranean Sea.
Australia is set to compete in three disciplines today: Men’s Windsurfing, Men’s Skiff, and Women’s Skiff.
The action starts at 8:30pm AEST with Men’s Windsurfing debuting new hydro-foiling boards and an updated format.
Twenty-year-old Grae Morris, equipped with a livestream camera on his helmet, is scheduled to race four times throughout the day.
In the Women’s Skiff, London 2012 silver medallist Olivia Price returns to the Olympics after 12 years, teaming up with Evie Haseldine.
The duo will compete in three races starting at 8.30pm AEST. The Women’s Skiff fleet, featuring 20 nations, will race 12 times over the next four days, culminating in a double-point final for the top 10 on 1 August.

The Men’s Skiff races will follow a similar format throughout the week with their first race scheduled for 9.30pm AEST in a different area of the bay. Olympic debutants Jim Colley and Shaun Connor will navigate the highly competitive 49er class against 20 other nations.
All three fleets will face light breezes of 6-12 knots on the Mediterranean Sea, demanding finesse and tactical skill.
