GYMNASTICS - TRAMPOLINE: Australia has finished its run on a high at the 30th Trampoline and Tumbling World Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida, with star athletes finishing seventh in the men's individual trampoline final, and fifth in the women's double-mini trampoline final.

Shaun Swadling from NSW competed in the men's individual final this morning following a successful performance in the semi-final earlier which saw him qualify in seventh position with a score of 58.010.

Swadling maintained his position with a strong finals performance, finishing seventh overall with a score of 57.110.

China's Xiao Tu took the men's title with a score of 61.875, followed by fellow countryman Dong Dong (60.890) and Uladzislau Hancharou from Belarus (60.390).

Swadling’s latest achievement adds to an already successful event campaign that saw him finish in sixth position with brother Ty in the men's synchronised trampoline final.

Shaun and Ty won bronze in the synchronised trampoline competition at the 2014 FIG Minsk World Cup earlier this year.

Earlier this morning, Australia’s Christine Hall finished fifth in the women's double mini trampoline final in just her fourth international competition as a senior.

Hall is the 2013 National Champion on the apparatus and improved on her 13th placement at the 2013 World Championships event.

All three athletes reign from NSW and are coached by Brett Austine at Eastlake Trampoline Sports.
