Australia is on top of the aerial skiing world after Jacqui Cooper and Lydia Lassila (nee Ierodiaconou) finished first and second in the opening event of the 2008 World Cup season in Lianhua Mountain, China. Cooper maintained the dominance she displayed last season, but her Olympic Winter Institute team-mate provided the major story, collecting silver in her first World Cup event since the Torino Olympics, and on the back of a very limited preparation.
