The Boomers quest for another Olympic basketball medal continues in Paris, as they prepare for a quarter-finals matchup against Serbia.

The team has moved down from their Lille base in the north of France to the Olympic Village in Paris, where they'll stay for the rest of their campaign as the competition shifts to Bercy Arena.

Dante Exum, speaking before their quarter-finals opponent was determined, excited for the boost that being part of the Village will provide his teammates.

"For some of the rookies I said 'welcome to the Olympics now'", Dante said.

The challenge of Nikola Jokic and world number four Serbia is a monumental one, but just a few weeks ago in a friendly exhibition the Boomers pulled away with a 84-73 win.

Patty Mills scored 28 points and Jokic had 14 points with 14 rebounds.

Now the stakes are raised and with Jokic, NBA champion and a three-time NBA most valuable player leading the way, it will take more than just one player to neutralise his impact on the game.

"We've put together good halves and good three quarters," Dante said.

"We just need to pull it together.”

The Boomers play Serbia on Tuesday 6 August from 10:30pm AEST for a spot in the semi-final.
