Ben Sim has opened his 2006/2007 World Cup season with a personal best performance in the 15km Freestyle in Gallivare, Sweden. The 21 year old from Cooma finished 64th in a field of 97 starters, his first entry into the top two thirds of a World Cup field. Scoring FIS points of 58.34 (7.3 % behind the winner) for the race, Sim is now fully qualified in World Cup for the rest of the season.
