Bobsleigh pilot and monobob slider Bree Walker is paving the way for Aussie female sliders.
The 28-year-old commenced Bobsleigh in 2016 after a successful career in Athletics for over 10 years.
In 2018 she also took up monobob – the solo bobsleigh event - after it was announced the women’s event would make its debut on the Winter Olympic programme at Beijing 2022. Walker made history in late 2018 as the winner of the first ever women’s monobob events in Lillehammer, Norway.
Now, Walker is sliding full-steam ahead in both the 2-man and 1-man sleds towards her goal of qualifying for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics
She is currently training in Germany alongside her Aussie teammates Sarah Blizzard and Stefanie Fernandez, and took over the @AUSOlympicTeam Instagram story to show followers a day in her life.
From what the inside of a bobsleigh looks like, to how fast they race down the icy track, Walker took Olympic fans through all the ins and outs of her elite sport.
