Tatiana Borodulina has finished in seventh place in the 1500m at the opening of the 2008 World Cup short track season in Salt Lake City, Utah. Borodulina finished in third place in her opening heat, qualifying through to the semi-final round on her time. In the semis she was again in third place, missing a place in the A final, but qualifying for the B final which she went on to win.
