BMX Freestyle World Champion Brandon Loupos has his sights set on his first Olympic Games when his sport makes it’s Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020 in July

The 28-year-old won his maiden rainbow jersey at the 2019 Urban Cycling World Championships in China, claimed dual X Games gold and stood on top of the podium at the inaugural Urban Games in Hungary.

Loupos was based in the US prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, but returned to Australia in 2020. He is now based on the Gold Coast where he has access to Australian Cycling’s purpose-built BMX Freestyle Indoor Training Facility to give the Aussies the best shot at Tokyo 2020.

Joined by his fellow Australian BMX Freestyle teammates, including 2017 World Champion Logan Martin and women’s world number six in Natalya Diehm, Loupos recently took over the @AUSOlympicTeam Instagram story to give followers a glimpse into his life and training in Queensland.
