Brauer completed the two runs in a total time of 1 minute 41.26 seconds.
The race was won by Italian Luca Senoner in a time of 1:36.72 from Mitja Dragsic of Slovenia and Sebastien Amiez of France.
Also overnight, SAL/NSWIS racer Craig Branch laid down a strong first training run for the coming weekend’s downhill in Kvitfjell.
Branch placed 39th in a time of 1 minute 31.03 seconds, 2.79 seconds behind the fastest man down the hill, Fritz Strobl.
The downhill event is scheduled for the night of March 7, Australian time, with a super G to follow the next night.
SAL/NSWIS team member Brad Wall was also racing during the week, placing 34th in a FIS super G in Spital/Semmering, Austria.
Wall covered the course in a time of 1:31:03, 2.79 seconds behind race winner, US ski team member Dane Spencer.
