Torah Bright has finished in fifth place in the Chevy Truck U.S, Snowboard Grand Prix halfpipe event in Park City, Utah, but well down on points behind event winner Hannah Teter of the United States.
Bright scored 21.8 points to Teter’s 44.3, in what was a performance well below the Utah-based Australian rider’s best.
Sixteen-year-old Teter won the opening half pipe event on the 2003/04 FIS World Cup snowboard circuit in Valle Nevado in September.
Teter’s Vermont team-mate Kelly Clark, the Salt Lake 2002 gold medallist was second, with Molly Aguirre in third place in the six woman final.
In an all-American men’s field, the gold medal went to Californian Andy Finch from Shaun White and Hannah Teter’s older brother Abe. Salt Lake men’s gold medallist Ross Powers was fourth.
