Alisa Camplin has won her third straight Snowsports Athlete of the Year title after another remarkable season on the World Cup circuit.
Alisa Camplin has won her third straight Snowsports Athlete of the Year title after another remarkable season on the World Cup circuit.
The 29-year-old aerialist was presented with the award at the Linz Ski and Snowboard Australia dinner in Melbourne on May 20.
Camplin, who won a record equaling seven World Cup events during the past season, took the award ahead of world number two halfpipe snowboarder Torah Bright, downhill skier AJ Bear and cross country skier Paul Murray.
In other awards, Bright won the Junior Athlete of the Year award, Lydia Ierodiaconou and the Flying Kangaroos aerial skiing team won the Special Achievement of the Year award and Olympic Winter Institute halfpipe coach Ben Wordsworth collected the Coach of the Year award.
Jon Brunner, Managing Director of Alpine Exposure, the sponsor of Skiing Australia’s flagship World Cup aerials event at Mt Buller, received the Ski and Snowboard Australia Outstanding Contribution to Snowsports award :
