American Hannah Kearney has upset Canadian Jennifer Heil's dream of winning the host nation's first gold medal in the women's moguls tonight in Vancouver, Canada.
Kearney put down a near flawless run to score a massive 26.63 to easily defeat Heil on 25.60, with USA team-mate Shannon Bahrke taking the bronze with 25.43.
The gold marks Kearney's first Olympic medal, with Heil and Bahrke winning their second.
Australian Mogul Skiing Head Coach Steve Desovich Commented after the race: "The top three athletes had exceptional runs tonight, and it would have been great for Jen to win back-to-back gold medals, but she made a minor mistake on the bottom air."
Earlier in the day the youngest Olympian at the Games, Australian 15 year old Britteny Cox finished in 23rd position.
