Australian figure skater Sean Carlow, and ice dancing pair Natalie Buck and Trent Nelson-Bond have missed out on qualifying for the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games.

Australian figure skater Sean Carlow, and ice dancing pair Natalie Buck and Trent Nelson-Bond have missed out on qualifying for the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games.

Competing in the Karl Shaeffer Memorial Trophy in Vienna, he tournament to select the final nation's places in the Games figure skating competition, Carlow finished in 16th place on 114.21 points. Competitors from the top six eligible nations qualified through to the Games.

Buck and Nelson-Bond finished in 15th place in the ice dancing, but were in eighth place among the nation' s able to qualify through the Karl Shaeffer event. Only the top five earned Olympic spots.

In the pairs competition, the novice pairing of Emma Brien and Stuart Buckingham finished in 12th place.

Nagano Olympic representative Joanne Carter had already qualified for the Torino ladies' singles event at the 2005 World Championships in March.
