Only 50 days out from the official Opening Ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, an abundance of Winter Sports action will take place across the globe this coming weekend as Australian athletes look to cement qualification quotas.

Events This Week

Freestyle Skiing World Cup - Innichen, Italy

  • 19-2o December - Ski Cross
  • The Australian ski cross contingent have already competed in Arosa, headlined by dual-Olympian Sami Kennedy-Sim who took 19th place.

Moguls World Cup - Alpe d'Huez, France

  • 17-18 December- moguls, dual moguls
  • The mogul team lead by Jakara Anthony and three-time Olympian Britteny Cox will look to continue their solid form at the World Cup in Aple d’Huez. Anthony is in blistering form, winning three World Cup medals from her three most recent starts and will look to continue her medal winning streak in France.

Alpine World Cup - Val d'Isère, France

  • 18-19 December - Downhill, Super-G
  • Just 200km south of the moguls team, Greta Small will look to take a step towards her 3rd Olympic team as she competes at the Alpine World Cup in Val d’Isere.

Snowboard Cross World Cup - Cervinia, Italy

  • Snowboarders Belle Brockhoff and 18-year old Josie Baff will look to continue their hot run of form at the Snowboard Cross World Cup in Cervinia whilst the men’s team, including reigning Olympic silver medalist Jarryd Hughes, will look to improve on their recent performances.
