Alisa Camplin has added a fourth victory to her winning streak of World Cup events, taking the gold medal in Long-Zhu, China.

With three events left on the aerial skiing calendar – one of them tomorrow at the same Chinese venue – only Camplin and Flying Kangaroos team-mate Lydia Ierodiaconou can now take the World Cup title.

And with a lead of 221 on the World Cup points table, Camplin is in the box seat to successfully defend the title she won last year for the first time.

The inaugural Chinese competition was held in appalling weather conditions, with strong winds and heavy snow playing havoc with speeds on the approach to the jumps.

But Camplin once again drew on her mental strength and long experience to land both her triple twisting double somersaults and post a score of 187.97 points, more than nine points ahead of Evelyne Leu of Switzerland.

Canadian Veronika Bauer took the bronze medal with 166.38 points.

Ierodiaconou finished in 11th place, with fellow Olympic Winter Institute team members Liz Gardner and Lainie Cole both missing the final.

Camplin now leads the World Cup race on 708 points, with Ierodiaconou on 487.

On a more depressing note for the Australian team, Trudy McIntosh has suffered a knee injury in training and is returning to Australia.
