Village Art is back for Beijing!
With Beijing fast approaching (4th – 20th February 2022), we are once again inviting school children from across the nation to create artwork that will inspire our athletes as they compete in the Winter Olympic Games.
Village Art offers students of all ages the opportunity to submit artwork to be displayed on the walls of the Australian quarters of the Olympic Village in Beijing.
The AOC have put together lesson plans and a host of resources for schools to make it easy for teachers and students to participate in the program.

Tokyo Welcome Celebrations across the Nation
Across Australia communities and governments continue to celebrate the success of our remarkable Tokyo Olympic Team.
The celebrations began in New South Wales with 665 Olympians and Paralympians being displayed on Australia’s iconic Sydney Opera House sails, one by one for 30 seconds each. Due to COVID restrictions at the time the event, it was held without spectators but streamed live online for all to see.
The celebrations then went to Queensland, with three events kicking off on the Gold Coast then onto the Sunshine Coast and finishing with a spectacular event in Brisbane.
The latest stop on the celebrations tour was in Perth. West Australian athletes were treated to a morning tea hosted by the Governor of Western Australia Kim Beazley AC and the Premier Mark McGowan.
