Jacqui Cooper will contest two aerial skiing events in Deer Valley, Utah, at the end of this week following the cancellation of the Lake Placid World Cup scheduled for January 18 to 20.

Jacqui Cooper will contest two aerial skiing events in Deer Valley, Utah, at the end of this week following the cancellation of the Lake Placid World Cup scheduled for January 18 to 20.

The Lake Placid event, a victim of the unseasonably warm weather that has hit the north eastern United States, was to host two aerial skiing events and one moguls competition.

Although the moguls event will go on as scheduled at the New York State resort, one of the aerial skiing events has been transferred to this week's Deer Valley program by the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association.

With some parts of Europe also experiencing poor snow conditions, the International Ski Federation has postponed the World Freestyle Skiing Championships, which were scheduled for January 21-28 in the north-eastern Italian resort of Madonna di Campiglio.

The championships have been rescheduled to March 5-11 at the same venue, following the final World Cup event of the season.

The new schedule for this week's Deer Valley World Cup, which will also feature Cooper's team-mate Liz Gardner and the Olympic Winter Institute mogul skiing team of Dale Begg-Smith, Ramone Cooper, Nick Fisher and Michael Robertson is:

Thursday, Jan. 11
Mogul skiing Finals at 1 p.m.
(women's qualifying 9:15-10:30 a.m. and men's 10:40 a.m.- noon)
Aerial skiing Finals (transferred from Lake Placid) at 8:15 p.m.
(women's qualifying 3:45-4:30 p.m. and men's 6:15-7:15 p.m.)

Friday, Jan. 12
Aerial skiing Finals at 6:45 p.m.
(women's qualifying 1-1:50 p.m. and men's 3:35-4:30 p.m)

Saturday, Jan. 13
Dual Mogul skiing Finals at 6 p.m.
(women's qualifying 1-2:45 p.m. and men's 3-4:45 p.m.)

Deer Valley is 18 hours behind Australian Eastern Summer Time
