CoSport Australia, its parent company Jet Set Sports, and the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) today announced that CoSport Australia has extended its sponsorship of the AOC for the next two quadrennials through 2020 as the official and exclusive AOC provider of event tickets and hospitality packages for the Olympic Games.
“Jet Set Sports/CoSport is a leading provider of hospitality packages and event ticketing, whose focus is the Olympic Games,” said AOC President John Coates.
“They are incredibly good at what they do and are committed to the Olympic Movement. We are very grateful for their continued support of the AOC and Australia’s athletes for years to come.”
Since 1984, Jet Set Sports, which operates in Australia under the name CoSport Australia, has provided corporate clients with hospitality packages at Olympic Games through its VIP Hospitality Programs and Hospitality Management Services.
Leveraging Jet Set Sports’ experience gained from past Olympic Games, CoSport offers the same quality hospitality experience to individual consumers through its hospitality packages, premium ticket packages and individual ticket sales.
“I began this business to help Olympic fans travel to and from the Olympic Games in Sarajevo, my hometown, not knowing what to expect,” said Sead Dizdarevic, Chairman and CEO of Jet Set Sports/CoSport.
“The 2000 Games in Sydney were one of the very best, and from that experience my company has always felt a great connection to Australia. I am honoured and proud to support the AOC and Australia’s Olympic athletes.”
Jet Set Sports/CoSport’s relationship with the AOC started with the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
For those Games, CoSport Australia sold almost 40,000 tickets to Australian residents, which was the most ever for a Games hosted outside of the country.
“CoSport’s professional approach has enabled thousands of Australians to support the Australian Olympic Team first hand which really helped with the Team’s success in Beijing and Vancouver,” said Craig Phillips AOC Secretary General and 2012 Australian Olympic Team Chief Operating Officer.
“We look forward to their great support and expertise to help many more Australian supporters cheer on the Team in London 2012 and beyond.”
Tickets for the London 2012 Olympic Games are expected to go on sale in March of 2011 and registration is currently open for Australian residents. Please go to www.cosport.com for more information or to register at no cost. Jet Set Sports/CoSport Australia (and its authorised agents) is the only company authorised by the AOC to sell tickets and hospitality packages in the Australian market.
