Crawford reports to the final

A crash on Holly Crawford’s first semifinal run had the lively Australian crowd and undoubtedly thousands of fans back home simultaneously holding their breath.

A crash on Holly Crawford’s first semifinal run had the lively Australian crowd and undoubtedly thousands of fans back home simultaneously holding their breath.

Luckily they didn’t have to wait for long.

Qualifying in last position with a score of 17.3, Crawford was first up to contest the second run.

With a cracking display of style and tricky manoeuvres, Crawford cruised into first place with a score of 41.7.

With 11 riders still to come, the 26-year-old from Sydney was not necessarily guaranteed a spot in the final but no one could meet her score.

An exhilarated Crawford ploughed her way into the final where she will join teammate Torah Bright, both with the podium firmly in their sights.
