Holly Crawford has won her first international  event, taking the European Open halfpipe event in Laax, Switzerland, overnight.

Crawford defeated Canadian rider Sarah Conrad and Ellery Hollingsworth from the USA in a performance that OWI Head Halfpipe Coach Ben Wordsworth described as the best of her career.

The 22-year-old Sydney rider top scored in the first two of the three runs in the final, then cruised through the final run in what amounted to a victory lap.

Her final runs included a frontside 5 stalefish, a 720 and a Cab 540.

"It's great to see Holly progress to this level of riding," Wordsworth said.

"Her style and consistency were really impressive today, and the amplitude she was getting was almost as big as the guys."

"She really put it all together in the semis and the final, riding smooth and big and having no falls."
