Day 12 will be exclusively skiing for Australia, as we have men and women competing across Alpine Skiing and Cross-Country Skiing.
Cross-Country Skiing
It’s time for the men’s and women’s team sprint classic events at the Zhangjiakou National Cross-Country Skiing Centre.
Australia will be represented by Phil Bellingham and Seve de Campo on the men’s side, while Jess Yeaton and Casey Wright also take to the course in the green & gold.
At PyeongChang 2018 Jess teamed up with Barbara Jezersek and finished 12th to achieve Australia’s best ever finish in the team sprint. Casey gets her first Olympic opportunity at the team sprint with Jess.
Phil gets his third crack at the team event and has a new teammate for the first time since Sochi 2014 in Seve.
Catch the women’s semi-finals live from 6:15pm AEDT, the men’s semi-finals from 7:15pm AEDT, the women’s final from 8:15pm AEDT and the men’s final from 8:45pm AEDT on Channel 7 or 7plus.
Alpine Skiing
After Louis Muhlen-Schulte began his Beijing Olympic campaign in the men’s giant slalom, he will be one of 88 racers competing in today’s men’s slalom.
The course Louis will be taking on is one of the most challenging slalom courses to be run at an Olympic Games.
Nicknamed ‘the Ice River’, its highest point is 1712m above sea level with a descent of 211m. Slalom demands the sharpest turns of all alpine events and is contested on the shortest alpine course.
Watch Louis in run one from 1:15pm AEDT and run two from 4:45pm AEDT on Channel 7 or 7plus. He is the 46th athlete out of the start gate in run one.
