The Australian Olympic Committee is excited to announce Deloitte as an official Australian Olympians Association (AOA) partner.
The AOA, formerly known as Olympians Clubs, are state and territory based with the objective being to provide meaningful and authentic opportunities to connect and reconnect. It also plays a significant role in supporting the delivery of AOC programs across career development and wellbeing.
Deloitte will now provide opportunities for Olympians across the states and territories to network, by hosting a variety of themed events throughout the year.
John Greig, Deloitte’s Lead Client Service Partner, Brisbane 2032 said "We’re incredibly proud to support the Australian Olympians Association and their alumni community.
“This is a partnership with purpose which aligns to our global ambition to support athletes develop their careers, to have the chance to connect, and to support the ideals of the Olympic movement.
“The opportunity to host AOA events in our Deloitte offices also gives us the chance to brush shoulders with these exceptional athletes – people who have represented our country at the highest level.”
For AOA Co-Chair, David Culbert OLY, the Deloitte partnership will complement Australia's Olympians achievements.
"To make it to an Olympic Games, athletes need to develop numerous skillsets which can be transferred to their careers post sport.
“The support from Deloitte will assist Olympians to discover their skills as well as benefit from the wisdom of those successful in areas beyond the sporting field.”
For fellow AOA Co-Chair, Louise Dobson OLY, the Deloitte partnership provides additional benefits.
“Connection and networking are two areas we want to continue to expand for our Olympians. To have a partner like Deloitte that allows us to facilitate this nationally, is so exciting! It’s a partnership that will benefit everyone as we travel the road towards Brisbane 2032.”
