BEACH VOLLEYBALL: Australia has won double gold at the Asian Beach Volleyball Championships in Jinjiang in China.
Taliqua Clancy and Lou Bawden won the women's, and Chris McHugh and Isaac Kapa the men's, both in straight sets.
Clancy and Bawden proved too powerful for Thailand's Radarong and Udomchavee, 23-21, 21-14, while McHugh and Kapa beat Kazakhstan's Yakovlev and Kuloshev.
It's the second Asian Championship title for McHugh and Kapa, but the first for Bawden and Clancy.
"What a memorable day for our team," Bawden said.
"We beat China's Xue and Xi for the first time in our semi final and followed with a strong game against Thailand in the final. It is so exciting to finish the tournament with a Gold medal for Australia and as Asian Champions."
All four players are based in Adelaide at the Volleyball Australia High Performance centre.
