En Route to Paris 2024: Olympic qualifiers for archery and boxing, Team AUS touches down in Solomon Islands for the 2023 Pacific Games

2023 Pacific Games, Solomon Islands

The 2023 Pacific Games kick off on Sunday 19 November in Honiara, Solomon Islands. 72 Australian athletes are set to compete across Athletics, Archery, Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Judo, Sailing, Taekwondo, and Weightlifting.


The Games are also an Oceania qualifying event for archery and boxing athletes hoping to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The archery, weightlifting, judo and sailing competitions will kick off in week 1, with the mixed-team archery Olympic Qualifying event on 22 November the first chance for Aussies to secure an Olympic quota in Honiara.

Beach Volleyball - Pro Tour Elite 16 & Geelong Beach Volleyfest

The Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour is heading down under to Geelong, Victoria from Wednesday 22 to Sunday 26 November. With 14 Aussie pairs competing, the 28-strong Australian team are eager to hit the sand on home soil.

Serving up the world's best beach volleyball this summer, world-class national and international beach volleyball athletes will go head-to-head at the Geelong Beach Volleyfest at Rippleside Beach from Friday 17 to Sunday 26 November.

Golf - Women's CME Group Tour Championship 

Aussie female golfers, Minjee Lee, Grace Kim, Hannah Green, Sarah Kemp, and Stephanie Kyriacou are teeing off the CME Group Tour Championship in Florida, USA from Thursday 16 November until Sunday 19 November.


Dual-Olympian Minjee Lee is currently ranked 5th in the world standings heading into the Championships, with teammate, and Tokyo 2020 Olympian, Hannah Green not far behind in 25th place.
