Triathletes can earn a quota for their country at the Hamburg event, from Thursday 13 July to Sunday 16 July.
The mixed relay made its Olympic debut in Tokyo 2020, and sees a fast and furious battle between teams of two men and two women per country - each athlete completes a 300m swim, 6.8km cycle, and 2km run before tapping the hand of their teammate to pass the relay.
The winner of the Mixed Relay World Championships secures 4 quotas for their country (2 per gender). Great Britain and France have already secured quotas, so if either of them win the 2023 event, the quotas go to the next highest placed nation.
