FENCING: Australia's Evelyn and Joanna Halls have both gained ranking points towards Rio 2016 qualification at the Nanjing World Cup event over the weekend.
In the 191 strong epee competition, both athletes were knocked out in the round of 32 against strong competition.
Joanna claimed 55th after going down to Marie Florence Candassamy of France who eventually finished the tournament in eighth.
Evelyn came 62nd after losing out to Sarra Besbes of Tunsia who went on to stand on the podium after finishing second overall.
