South Australian Blake Gaudry secured a place for Australia at the London Olympics in a tense final at the London Test Event.
Gaudry qualified for the event by finishing 16th at the 2011 World Championships and needed a top five finish in London to earn Australia's first trampoline quota place for the 2012 Olympics.
Gaudry finished sixth in the qualifying round of the men's trampoline event and then significantly improved his routine in finals. He was placed fifth at the end of the event, thus gaining a country position for Australia at the Games.
The three medalists from World Championships all competed in London and placed 1st - 3rd respectively.
Gaudry and his coach Nikolay Zhuravlev now prepare for the selection process to determine the athlete named to the 2012 Olympic Team.
