Skeleton athlete Kim Hardy has decided not to proceed with an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Skeleton athlete Kim Hardy has decided not to proceed with an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

The AOC acted on a formal complaint from Hardy a member of the “Shadow Team” for Torino 2006. We have always supported the notion that all athletes in contention for an Olympic spot must be given a fair go.

The AOC is committed against any form of discrimination under its constitution, ethical behaviour by-law and the Olympic Charter.

We thank all seven athletes who participated in the selection races in Lake Placid and wish the four athletes selected - Michelle Steele, Emma Lincoln-Smith, Melissa Hoar and Bindee Johnston - the best of luck in the upcoming World Cup races and in their quest to qualify for the 2006 Australian Olympic Team.
