The Hockeyroos have started to build some much needed form in attack leading into the World Cup, with two wins from their last two matches in the four-test series in the US.
With the second round of matches being played in Virginia beach the Hockeyroos beat the US on Wednesday night 3-1 and then backed it up with another strong win Thursday night against the Netherlands 3-0.
Six goals in their last two matches will give Frank Murray some hope, with the World Cup only four weeks away.
Against the Netherlands Claire Messent, Madonna Blyth and Suzie Faulkner all scored. Earlier in the week Faulkner, Hope Munro and Hayley Phipps all found the back of the net.
National coach, Frank Murray, was happy with the performance of his charges, but still believes they need a lot more work on addressing their ability to score from the opportunities they create.
"A better performance from us tonight, but again we failed to convert opportunities to scoreboard advantage," he said after the Netherlands match.
Statistics highlight Murray's concern, with 58 circle penetrations to 14 and 16 shots on goal to seven showing that the Hockeyroos had a lot more of the ball.
