Australian Ice Dance champions Natalie Buck and Trent Nelson-Bond have finished 26th in the World Figure Skating Championships in Dortmund, Germany.

Australian Ice Dance champions Natalie Buck and Trent Nelson-Bond have finished 26th in the World Figure Skating Championships in Dortmund, Germany. The Australian pair were in 25th place after the Compulsory Dance qualifying round, but slipped a place in the Original Dance, missing a berth in the 24-couple Free Dance.

Russian pair Tatiana Navka and Roman Kostomarov, the European champions, lead the competition going into the final round.

Australian Champion, Miriam Manzano is the sole Australian left in the Championship. She is currently in equal 23 position in the ladies after the qualifying round and will skate the short program tonight, Friday 26th AEST.
Brad Santer, the Australian Men’s Champion, finished 35th in the Men’s event, which was won by Evgeni Plushenko of Russia, the defending world champion.
