Every year since 1985, the International Olympic Committee has launched a trophy with a different theme, reflecting current trends. The 2011 trophy is for "Sport and Social Responsibility" and the Australian Olympic Committee nominated the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence (NCIE) to receive this prestigious award.
